Mr. Simpson:
I think I have been pretty cordial and respectful in my emails, but since
you have decided to make this a personal attack and smear against me and
others, here is my response:
* Equating the tea party with the despicable acts of an insane madman is
outrageous, especially in light that his views as revealed in his 'suicide
note' are more in line with the progressive movement. You owe me and tea
partiers an apology for that.
* Declaring people - who disagree with your view that higher taxes is
appropriate during a recession - as unpatriotic, selfish, hate-spawned,
and dangerous is really uncalled for, and shows a real lack of
understanding on how this nation was founded and what it stands for. You
owe me and others, who believe limited government is appropriate and whom
you malicously attacked in your email, an apology.
* It's not manufactured outrage to expect elected leaders to restrain
themselves from using explicit pornographic terms DURING LIVE TELEVISED
DEBATE. I don't believe I ever heard you condemn the manufactured outrage
of groups like the Netroots, who called for a sitting wartime U.S.
president to be hauled before the Hague and treated like a war criminal.
In fact, if anyone can be accused of manufactured outrage, it's you sir,
for gratuitously using a pornographic word in your remarks. You owe your
constituents an apology for sarcastically dismissing a concern they have
regarding your foul-mouthed language on the House floor.
In short, Mr. Simpson, you now owe your constituents 3 more apologies, in
addition to the original. Please show a little class and integrity, and
take the appropriate action to address this ASAP.
Man up, Geoff. And try watching something other than MSNBC, for a change.

Hi Jim -
Thank you for your message. I haven't attacked anyone, just responded to your
demands for an apology for innocently repeating a term that the tea party cult at
first adopted as their own and now finds objectionable.
Your incessant pouting about being referred to with a name your founders used to
describe their own activity will never result in me apologizing for it.
To connect the actions of the kamikaze, anti-government pilot and the tea partiers
takes little stretch of the imagination. And I'm not the only one who's noticed:
From the Washington Post: the pilot's "alienation is similar to that we're hearing
from the extreme elements of the Tea Party movement."
From New York magazine: the pilot's rhetoric "could have been taken directly from a
handwritten sign at a tea party rally."
From Time magazine: a link, in bright red letters, right in the middle of the
Austin plane crash story ... taking the reader to another story - about tea parties.
I suggest you find a way to move on. Maybe psychological therapy would be beneficial.

Hi Geoff:
All of the news sources you cited have 3 things in common:
1.) When discussing Mr. Stack's suicide note, they all left out the
following that was included in it: "Well, Mr. Big Brother IRS man, let’s
try something different; take my pound of flesh and sleep well. The
communist creed: From each according to his ability, to each according to
his need. The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to
each according to his greed."
His views indicate he was much more sympathetic towards the
socialist/communist viewpoint than the capitalist. Which in my opinion is
what your side of the spectrum consistently spouts.
2.) They all cited left-of-center sources and blogs exclusively.
3.) The news orgs you referred to have shown many times to be extremely
critical and antagonistic towards Tea Parties and right-of-center
movements, while either being supportive or silent towards groups like
Netroots, ACORN, and the unions.
In short, you cited extremely biased sources who didn't report all the
facts. Nice try. Now, please apologize for the 4 items I mentioned in my
previous email.
Also, telling a constituent to get "psychological therapy" is just rude,
classless, and pathetic behavior. Which I am starting to recognize is a
pattern with you. I help pay your salary, sir, and I think I deserve a
little more courtesy than that. I certainly have shown you more than you
have shown me to this point.
