About ORBUSMAX ORBUSMAX is a Northwest-centric (WA, OR, ID, AK, MT, NOR CAL, ALASKA, BC) news aggregation website, with national/world news, modeled similarly like the DRUDGE REPORT, but with a more targeted audience, and more features. The home page is hand-generated and is constantly being updated, while the others sections are mostly auto-feeds and/or static. The home page is comprised of news links - roughly 60% Northwest, 40% National/World. The site leans right/libertarian, but also links to progressive/liberal sites when there is news and information of interest to the audience. Since ORBUSMAX is currently a 1-person shop, Jim Walker retains total editorial control and makes changes as he deems fit, without going through a panel or board like other news sources. The primary source of news comes from feeds from over 100 different sources, read by Jim Walker himself. He tries to focus on news that is breaking, and under-the radar from the rest of the Northwest media. He also does some blogging. The financial model goal is to eventually be 100%-ad supported, but for now the site relies on donations to bridge the gap. ORBUSMAX is a for-profit, sole proprietorship based in WA state.
